Job Description
Why JK’s? Our Opportunity
As a Dump Truck Operator, you will play a key role in supporting site production and ensuring materials are moved safely and efficiently across our projects. This position contributes directly to the timely and successful delivery of bulk earthworks and civil works programs.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Operate articulated and/or rigid dump trucks in a safe and productive manner across active civil construction sites
• Transport bulk materials including spoil, aggregates and fill in accordance with site plans and supervisor direction
• Conduct thorough daily pre-start inspections and report any faults or maintenance requirements
• Follow established loading and haulage procedures to ensure safe site movement
• Work closely with Supervisors, Leading Hands and plant operators to maintain efficient site operations
• Comply with all WHS policies, environmental controls and site-specific procedures
• Complete required documentation including pre-starts and equipment records
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating dump trucks within a civil construction or bulk earthworks environment
• Proven competency operating large mobile plant safely and efficiently
• A strong understanding of site safety standards and environmental obligations
• A valid VOC for dump truck operation
• Reliable attendance, strong work ethic and commitment to teamwork
• Clear communication skills and the ability to follow direction
